        This is a fresh and lightweight cover. It’s truly lighter than the black fabric that comes with your typical car seat. BUT I left the car seat in the car while grocery shopping. Upon getting back to the car, the pad was super hot (it was 100 degrees outside). I quickly took the pad off and held it in front of the AC and it cooled. It was a nice way to buffer the hot car seat and my baby. Very soft, feels like a thin foam, great quality and baby seems very comfortable.

        Makes a noticeable difference: when I take my baby out of the stroller on a warm day, she’s not as hot as she was with other padding. If your stroller is tough/has no real cushioning like mine, then it is a bit thin, so I added another very thin baby head pillow behind the head piece to protect her head. It looks very nice and I love that it’s machine washable!
